Wadjay CU purlin roll forming machine for C/U channels, studs and light steel keel: PLC servo control, infinite sizing, hydraulic punch, Cr12MoV cut. Galvanized/PPGI 0.3-3mm. Custom profile, CE/ISO. Quote.

One Line for C Channels, U Tracks and CU Purlins

In light steel fabrication, the bottleneck is rarely the rolling itself — it is the number of dedicated machines sitting idle between job changes. The Wadjay CU purlin roll forming machine is built so a single line covers C studs, U tracks, furring channels, omega sections and CU purlins, configured from the customer’s profile drawing rather than forced into a fixed die set.

In Wadjay’s Zhengzhou workshop, every CU line is assembled against the submitted cross-section: roller passes are sequenced on a 3D bend simulation, the 45# forged rollers are CNC-turned and hard-chrome plated, then the line runs a first-article coil before container loading. The operator checks flange squareness, web flatness, hole pitch and cut length on the actual profile — not a generic sample. That hands-on commissioning record is what separates a configured machine from a catalog guess.CU purlin roll forming machine

The line processes galvanized, PPGI, cold-rolled and black steel strip from 0.3–3mm (by profile), producing finished C/U sections continuously through decoiler → leveling → servo feed → optional hydraulic punch → roll forming → servo tracking cut → discharge table.

How the CU Line Actually Runs.CU purlin roll forming machine

The engineering value is in the sequence, not just the components.

  1. Decoiling with tension control — strip feeds without whipping or surface scratch; sensor warns before coil end.
  2. Leveling & guiding — multi-roller straightener removes coil set so the flange does not twist after forming.
  3. Servo metering — encoder-closed loop feeds exact length; acceleration/deceleration kept inside tolerance.
  4. Inline hydraulic punching — bolt holes, slots and marks are pierced before the section closes, so hole position stays locked relative to bend lines.
  5. Progressive cold forming — 10–20 roller stations bend the strip gradually. Gradual pass design controls springback and avoids edge wave on thin galvanized coil.
  6. Servo tracking cut — blade follows the moving profile and shears without stopping the line; Cr12MoV edge stays sharp through long runs.
  7. Recipe storage — each C/U size is saved as a PLC recipe: length, quantity, hole pitch, speed. Next order loads in seconds.

Why Buyers Choose the Wadjay CU Line.CU purlin roll forming machine

  • One line, multiple sections — C, U, CU, stud, track, omega without full die rebuild
  • Infinite sizing — adjust width/height in-range via PLC + spacer, less downtime
  • Servo tracking cut — continuous run, clean edge, no stop-start marks
  • Inline punch — web/flange holes done in-pass, no secondary drilling
  • 45# chrome rollers — wear-resistant on galvanized/pre-painted coil, low coating scratch
  • Configurable PLC — Mitsubishi/Siemens/Delta, multilingual HMI for export crews
  • Profile-true commissioning — first-article run on your drawing, video inspection before shipment
  • Zhengzhou factory direct — Wadjay export team handles voltage, docs, spares and training

FAQs

Q1: Can it make both C and U on the same machine?

A: Yes. Within the roller envelope, C studs and U tracks are produced by spacer/recipe change; a different cross-family profile (e.g. omega) is confirmed by drawing.

Q2: What thickness and material?

A: Typically 0.3–3mm galvanized, PPGI, cold-rolled or black steel. Heavy-gauged structural purlin versions are quoted separately.

Q3: Do I need to change rollers for every size?

A: Not for sizes inside the configured range — infinite sizing via spacer and PLC recipe. A radically different profile may need dedicated rollers.

Q4: How accurate is the cutting and hole pitch?

A: Servo feed + encoder control; real tolerance is verified on your profile during first-article run, not assumed from a generic spec sheet.

Q5: What speed can I expect?

A: 15–60 m/min depending on profile depth, punch load and material. Light keel runs faster; punched structural C runs slower.

Q6: Which PLC brand?

A: Mitsubishi, Siemens, Delta or equivalent — selected by market and budget, with multilingual HMI.

Q7: Can it punch holes inline?

A: Yes. Hydraulic punch stations for web/flange holes, slots and logos, positioned by PLC before forming.

Q8: CE / ISO / warranty?

A: CE/ISO configurable; 12-month after-sales with spare parts and video support.

Q9: How do I get a quote?

A: Send profile DXF/CAD, material grade & thickness, coil width, hole drawing, daily output, voltage/Hz. Wadjay returns roller plan, line layout and price.
